Layers and Transition
Posted on August 16 2017
Lets talk layers! I am one to always layer whether it is a tank under my shirt or a jacket over my top, I always have another layer with me. It is great because I am always cold, but also because it gives you options in terms of an outfit. When the weather is changing and you are transitioning to another season, layering is key. In the Northeast, when transitioning to fall, it can be cooler in the morning and evening, but then that mid day can be rather warm. Below is an example of a perfect outfit when transitioning to fall.
The blush waffle knit top is perfect because it isn't too heavy in weight. I can also add a tank under it if its cooler. The open shoulder design will keep you cool during the mid day warmth. This color is the new hot color for fall! It looks amazing on everyone!
I also had a camo jacket with me for those morning and evening cool downs. Camo is my favorite as it really is a neutral! I wear camo with so much, and it really is everywhere this season. Don't be scared of this pattern, it's super easy to wear. This particular jacket features two pockets, a button front and two sequin star patches. Who doesn't love to add some sequins to an outfit!
Both of these items were paired with my new favorite pants! These are pull on style jeggings. Super flattering, comfortable and easy to wear. Not too tight, as you are able to move and breathe in them. The distressing on the legs is so on trend, and it helps to break up the look. Best part is, they have real back pockets! These pants can be easily dressed up or down. I see a lot of these in my future!
