Last summer, P & I decided to get rid of cable. We rarely watch tv and haven’t missed it very much, but now that we’re in awards season, I’m really regretting that decision! :( Luckily, I was able to live stream the red carpet arrivals. Here are my top 5 favorites of the evening:

Kelly Osbourne in Zac Posen.

Honestly I just really love Kelly Osbourne. The mint color looks amazing with her purple hair (is anyone elseĀ really digging her purple/gray hair phase?) and the mermaid style makes her body look so gorgeous.

Nicole Richie in Naeem Khan.

This dress is so Old Hollywood – straight up GLAMOUR. I do wish Nicole had gone for bolder makeup, but she looks gorgeous either way.

Isla Fisher in Reem Arca.

Oh my. What to say about this beauty!? Isla Fisher looks ethereal, and who could possibly dislike all that sparkle?

Jennifer Lawrence in Dior Haute Couture.

Yup, the Internet is definitely peeing their pants over this one – but with good reason. Jennifer Lawrence looks soooo tiny in this dress! And her hair.. goodness gracious, have you seen her hair!? Go Google Image Search it. I’ll wait. SEE?!!

Michelle Dockery in Alexandre Vauthier.

Oh, this dress. THIS DRESS. So classic and simple and stunning. And Michelle Dockery, being classic and simple and stunning, pulls it off effortlessly. Easily my favorite dress of the night.

Overall, I found the red carpet fashion to be fairly boring this year, but it IS only the beginning, so I have hope. With the exception of Lady Mary (a.k.a. Michelle Dockery), no one really made me gasp in delight… and that goes both ways – with the exception of Lena Dunham, no one really made me go wide-eyed in horror. I mean, what even..?
