To further prove my over-ambitiousness and need for goals, I’ve decided to take on one challenge for every month of 2013, along with my year-long goals. Please feel free to join me!
This month, I’m participating in Katie Heddleston’s #StartClean2013 challenge. Katie is a Registered Dietitian and has set up an entire month of healthy prompts for participants, ranging from goal setting to meal planning. In Katie’s words:
The goal behind Start Clean 2013 is to help take the motivation you have from the beginning of the year and guide you in health challenge through the entire month of January, to ensure your motivation goes beyond the first day or week of the year.
After all of the over-indulgence of the holidays, most of us need a bit of a reset on our eating. The challenge is in not overreaching and setting ourselves up for failure. I’ve seen too many people on Twitter vow to do a juice fast in January, and while I wish them the best, I know that for the majority, it won’t work out. #StartClean2013 is a great middle ground to get your new year started on the right foot.
